Check out what our students are doing in environmental science!Tree Harper, a environmental club run by an Impact Future student at Harper Junior High School, is being featured in a new video by CAL FIRE and urban foresters!
This video will highlight Tree Harper’s journey as a model for other schools. Because of Tree Harper, so many individuals around campus, from teachers to students, it’s been a great opportunity to delve into the leadership world and an incredible learning experience.
Through programs like Apply Biology, students gain valuable hands-on skills like cultivating strawberries and ice plants – knowledge able to be applied to plants and trees at home. Additionally students learn what to plant and how to plant it, and can even learn the basics of arboriculture and landscaping.
They actively reduce waste and emissions by growing our own plants and composting, and we repurpose unwanted tools and materials to save waste. Thanks to everyone at Cal Fire and their urban foresters for making this happen!
